Tell us a bit about yourself!
Hello, my name Katie and I grew up in The Woodlands, TX and New Orleans, LA, which I still often visit. I went to the University of Tulsa in Oklahoma for Mechanical Engineering and I graduated in 2017.
I love running, working out and fitness classes. I also love to bake and if it’s your birthday there’s a good chance I will show up with something. I like to travel and have been lucky enough to visit lots of European countries and some in Central America. I’m also a big sports fan and especially like basketball and baseball.
What 3 words describe you best?
Thoughtful, driven, athletic
What do you do at Clarus?
I am an engineer at Clarus, and since starting I have been working on engineering assessments, anomaly reports, IMP/IWPs, etc, have recently started working on risk assessments.
What’s your favorite thing about working at Clarus?
I love that everyone is easy to get along with/talk to, and if I have questions everyone is more than happy to help me out! Not only that, but everyone has a great sense of humor which always brightens up my day.
What’s your most memorable Clarus moment?
I have only worked at Clarus for a short while now, but my favorite moment so far was Pinot’s Palette Team Building. I really enjoyed hanging out with everyone outside of work in a social environment and getting to know everyone better. I had so much fun and look forward to the next one.
Tell us a bit about life outside work.
I recently moved to downtown Houston with my friend and my corgi, whom I am always laughing around. Outside of work I love to spend my time working out, hanging with friends and watching the Astros or Rockets games. I also make visits back to New Orleans, where I am from originally. Traveling is definitely a hobby of mine and I have been lucky enough to travel to many different countries – I am traveling to Greece next year in 2019!
